This is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm whether someone is in custody, release a person, post bond, change a record, or retrieve an official booking file. Contact the government office responsible for the record or custody event.
Choose the Correct Records Office
Maverick County records are divided by agency and case type. The sheriff holds the local jail custody record. The appropriate clerk holds the court file, and TDCJ holds state-prison and state-supervision information. Federal and immigration records use separate federal systems. Office details can change, so verify the destination and current service hours before visiting. The county has not published special release-record fees or a guaranteed production time.

For an existing booking/release sheet, jail card, custody history, or booking photograph, email openrecords@co.maverick.tx.us. The official request page asks for the requester’s name, email, telephone number, and a specific record description. No official records-counter hours were identified, so call before an in-person visit.
Use the route that matches the question:
- For one released person or a historical jail event, use the Maverick County release search and records steps, then request the sheriff’s existing record.
- For parole, mandatory supervision, or local community supervision, compare the agencies on the Parole & Probation page.
- For the county’s same-day publication status and its official records fallback, see the 24-Hour Release List.
- For a state-prison date or release alert, use Projected Release Date and the VINELink Check.
- For a named custodian, open the matching detention-facility page listed below.
- For a sentenced Texas prisoner, use the TDCJ statewide offender search or inmate-information email.
- For federal or immigration custody, use BOP, ICE, the federal docket, or USMS records according to the agency involved.
Maverick Court Record Contacts
Felony cases are handled in the 293rd and 365th Judicial District Courts. Request the docket and the specific judgment, dismissal, bond, commitment, probation, revocation, or discharge order from the District Clerk. County-level misdemeanors and County Court at Law records route through the County Clerk. Low-level matters may instead be held by a municipal or justice court. A court order explains the legal action but may not show the minute jail staff completed a release.

Texas Prison Record Contacts
A person transferred from Maverick County Jail to state prison becomes a TDCJ lookup. The county sheriff cannot confirm a later parole, mandatory-supervision release, or discharge from the state system. Search by TDCJ or SID number when possible. For the inmate-information fields published by TDCJ, email a full name and seven-digit TDCJ number to pia@tdcj.texas.gov. If the number is unknown, include the exact birth date or approximate age and county of conviction. TDCJ states that this information service has no charge and does not provide photographs or Social Security numbers.
