Maverick Privacy Notice

This notice describes what Maverick County Released Inmates collects when people browse, search, or send a message, how that information is used, and the limited situations in which it may be shared. It also addresses cookies, outside services, security, minors, and user choices. By using the site, a visitor accepts the practices stated here. Government records reached through outbound links remain subject to the originating Texas, county, state, or federal agency’s own rules and privacy practices.

Information You Submit

Terms Entered in Search Tools

A name, location, or other term entered in a search tool is sent to the third-party provider that operates the search. We do not retain or log those search terms on our own systems. The provider receives the query under its own privacy policy and technical practices.

Email and Contact Messages

If you email or submit a contact message, we keep the message and the contact details supplied so we can read and answer it. We do not disclose that correspondence outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law or a valid legal process.

Technical Data Collected Automatically

Standard technical information may be recorded when a page loads. It helps operate the service, understand broad usage, and diagnose faults. Depending on the browser and services in use, the record may include:

  • the connecting Internet Protocol address;
  • browser type and version;
  • device class and operating system;
  • pages opened and time spent on them;
  • the referring page or site, when supplied; and
  • request and visit timestamps.

Cookie Controls

Cookies and similar browser storage can help show how visitors move through the site and support site features. A browser can reject or remove cookies. Some functions may work differently or less smoothly after cookies are blocked.

Reasons We Use Information

Collected information is used only for operating and improving the service and supporting the functions a visitor chooses. Specific uses include:

  • keeping pages available, responsive, and reliable;
  • sending a requested search to the appropriate partner service;
  • measuring which pages and tools visitors find useful;
  • detecting and correcting errors or other technical problems; and
  • displaying advertising that may be selected by interest.

Outside Links and Services

Links may lead to Maverick County release-record instructions, sheriff and court pages, TDCJ resources, federal or immigration portals, and third-party search tools. Once a visitor follows an outbound link, the destination’s privacy policy and data handling control. We do not set the privacy rules for Maverick County agencies or those outside providers.

Advertising partners may use their own systems to recognize activity across websites and select targeted advertising. That tracking occurs through the partner’s technology, not a record we maintain as our own search log.

Parties That May Receive Data

We do not sell personal information. Data may still reach a limited set of service providers or public authorities when needed for the function involved:

  • search partners that process terms submitted to their tools;
  • analytics services that measure visits and performance;
  • advertising networks that deliver or measure advertisements; and
  • law-enforcement agencies or other government bodies responding to a valid legal order.

Security Has Practical Limits

We use customary administrative and technical safeguards intended to protect information in our control. No Internet transmission, connected service, or storage method can be guaranteed breach-proof. Visitors should avoid sending sensitive personal facts that are not needed for a message.

Adults Only

The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If a parent or guardian believes a minor submitted personal information, contact us so the material can be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.

Your Privacy Choices

Subject to applicable law and a verifiable request, a person may ask us to:

  • provide a copy of personal data we hold about that person;
  • correct inaccurate personal information;
  • erase personal data when deletion is legally available; or
  • stop or opt out of certain processing.

These choices apply to data under our control. Requests for a Maverick County government record must go to the county custodian under the Texas Public Information Act, Texas Government Code chapter 552. That law governs access to government information and does not turn this private site into the county records office. A request to an outside search, analytics, or advertising provider is governed by that provider’s procedures.

Changes to This Notice

This privacy notice may be revised when services, legal duties, or data practices change. The updated text will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after an update means the revised practices apply from that point forward.
